Poppy Taylor (????-) is a registered architect and co-founder of award-winning architecture firm, Taylor + Hinds. Established with partner Mathew Hinds in 2013, the Tasmanian-based practice combines years of experience with a client-driven approach to produce ‘liveable, functional, and memorable environments for people.’
In 1998, Taylor graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Environmental Design. After graduating Taylor was given the opportunity to design her first house on Flinders Island, giving her a sense of what architecture as a profession offered. Taylor returned to UTAS, completing her Master’s with First Class Honours in 2006. She went on to design Dyrnne House (2007) for her parents in Hobart. In 2011 Taylor was awarded the AIA Tasmanian Chapter Emerging Architect Prize.
Since forming in 2013, Taylor + Hinds have designed a number of successful projects including krakani lumi (2018) which received numerous Tasmanian and National award. With a unique and evolving portfolio, Taylor + Hinds' success is a product of collaboration between themselves, their clients, and the environment. The firms’ national and international recognition is a result of their combined vision, innovation and technical skill.
