Circa Morris-Nunn designed Landscape Restaurant located in the heart of Hobart’s Hunter Street waterfront precinct. This restaurant repurposes the 1830s IXL building and utlises the original sandstone and timber building fabric to create a clear distinction between old and new to emphasise the structure and rich textures of the heritage building. The internal space was design to have a modern and dark intimate feeling that engages with the visitors of the restaurant with the building fabric and the John Glover artwork. This is achieved through the soft lighting and sheer curtains to create a sophisticated dining room that highlights the heritage in a functional and aesthetically pleasing design. The restaurant provides high quality dishes that accompany the Tasmanian heritage building fabric for a premium dinging experience on the waterfront of Hobart.
