Philp Lighton Architects (PLA) is a Tasmanian architectural practice with offices in Hobart and Launceston. Established in 1992, the firm is wholly owned and operated by its directors, all of whom are Tasmanian residents deeply engaged in the local community. PLA offers a comprehensive range of services, including architecture, interior architecture, and project management, and employs over 25 professionals across its offices
Peter Gaggin joined PLA in 1992 and became a director in 2002. With extensive experience in commercial, educational, local government, recreational, aged care, community, and civic projects, he has overseen the delivery of over $500 million in projects over the past decade. Peter manages client relations, project procurement, and staff development, serving as the Managing Director of the Hobart office
Thomas Floyd has been with PLA since 2014, bringing a decade of experience in commercial projects for clients such as the University of Tasmania and various government agencies. His portfolio includes work for Communities, State Growth, Education, Stadiums Tasmania, Sport & Recreation, and Health sectors
Anthony Dalgleish joined PLA in 2004 and became a director in 2010. He has led a diverse range of projects, including residential, commercial, civic, and community developments, with a focus on sustainable design and innovative solutions. Anthony is known for his collaborative approach and dedication to delivering high-quality architectural outcomes.
